Mission Statement or Ministry Purpose:
Boys Farm has served families with at-risk children since 1960 as a residential children’s home in Newberry, SC. Our Mission is to offer a home exclusively for the purpose of providing a Christian, charitable, and educational home with love, training, understanding, and guidance and to meet the spiritual, as well as physical needs of boys in need of assistance.

Ministry's Activities:
By serving at-risk youth in traditional single-family homes with full-time houseparents dedicated to the training, support, and care of their household, Boys Farm continues to see the fruit of intensive parenting and the positive outcomes that flow from healthy lifestyles, structure, and security. Many of the youth we serve suffer from a lack of strong support and upstanding role models, and through our residential care model we are able to provide encouragement, support, and counsel to children who are struggling with abandonment, crisis, and family dysfunction. Placing at-risk children into the care of full-time houseparent couples who provide this level of care is transformative, helping disadvantaged youth clearly see opportunity and pathways to develop into healthy, productive, and successful members of society, leading each child we serve toward a brighter future. Boys Farm is licensed by the South Carolina Department of Social Services to have up to 32 children in our four residential cottages. We are members of the Palmetto Association for Children and Families (PAFCAF), the National Association of Christian Child and Family Agencies (NACCFA), the South Carolina Association of Nonprofit Organizations (SCANPO) and the United Way of the Midlands. Boys Farm is incredibly grateful for the long legacy of support from the Lipscomb Family Foundation, empowering us in this mission. Our programs include: Adventures in Academics Program: Boys Farm improves academic performance and overcomes deficits. Our houseparents closely monitor children’s progress in school, providing the support they need to succeed. Boys Farm partners with local schools and individuals, providing individualized tutoring to assist in any subject areas in which children need remedial support or have less than a 3.0 GPA. Agriculture & Environmental Program: Boys Farm provides children the opportunity to become more aware of the natural environment around them and the need for greater sustainability. Through learning about a variety of farming practices, children learn where their food comes from, stewardship principles, and the inputs required to bring food from farm to table. Character and Responsibility Program: Boys Farm builds character by teaching children to take pride and ownership in their work, learn money management, and find satisfaction in a job well done. This provides time for the children to be mentored and work alongside our staff to help children prepare to be productive citizens. Recreation and Athletic Program: Boys Farm promotes the physical and emotional development of children through organized and casual sports, as well as recreational activities such as camping, hiking, and fishing. The Athletic Coordinator also schedules clinics and special events. including trips to a variety of college sports events Pathways to Independence Program: Boys Farm enables and encourages our graduates to pursue higher education opportunities by providing essential framework, guidance and assistance beginning in high school and continuing through college. Our ongoing support in college and career placement, military enlistment, or independent living arrangements produces lasting positive outcomes for our residents. Reins of Hope Program: Boys Farm offers evidence-based counseling care for each of our clients including individual, group, and family counseling in conjunction with equine assisted services, helping accomplish our mission by providing top quality services and meeting the growing support needs of the population we serve.

How does your ministry directly share the Gospel of Jesus Christ?:
The Gospel is the center of all of our activity, as our identity is rooted in the image of God and the purposes of His kingdom. We know that Jesus is the one and only that can produce true and lasting life transformation and change. Each of our families that serve in this ministry are a biblical model of a husband who loves the Lord, a wife who loves the Lord, and whom love each other in a biblical and committed way. The Christian character of our houseparents is essential in modeling the hope and the promise that Jesus offers for each child who is entrusted to our care. Each household is responsible not only for the daily physical care of the boys in the program, but also the spiritual care through discipleship, mentorship, daily devotions, consistent participation in worship, and upholding biblical standards. Boys Farm is dedicated to our motto of "Building Boys rather than Mending Men" and we champion a biblical male identity, helping shape boys into the Godly men of the next generation. We receive no government funding and will continue to unashamedly hold out the Gospel truth to every child and family who is a part of this ministry.

CEF is a Bible-centered organization composed of born-again believers whose purpose is to evangelize boys and girls with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and to establish (disciple) them in the Word of God and in a local church for Christian living.

Serving families and birth mothers in NC and SC. For over 40 years we have existed to minister to birth mothers and adoptive families and we have placed over 2,000 children into loving, Christian homes.

Kristi Overton Johnson Ministries conducts prison ministry within the SC Department of Corrections through its Victorious Living Magazine, and Victorious Living Correspondence Outreach, and on-site prison events. KOJM and its prison outreaches were founded by North Carolina native Kristi Overton Johnson. Kristi was a world champion water skier who saw opportunities in prison to share her faith and lessons from her athletic career with inmates. Through her publication, mentoring program, inmate family support, and evangelical events, Kristi and her team encourage the hearts of inmates, equip their minds with God's truth, and empower them to live victorious lives. The VL magazine and prison outreach began in 2011 and has since impacted the lives of over 1 million inmates nationwide. In 2020, it expanded it's VL magazine and correspondence to the Hispanic prison population.

This organization provides information and support on topics such as Christian faith, addiction recovery, grief care, anxiety, re-entry, recidivism, prison life, isolation and loneliness, family dynamics, suicide awareness, and depression through its publication, Victorious Living. VL magazine is distributed in every state prison in SC and Kristi partners with the SC DOC to hold on-site evangelical events. Many members of the prison correspondence team who provide faith discipleship live in South Carolina. Support is provided to Spanish and English speaking inmates and their families.

Mission Increase is a ministry that serves other ministries. We equip ministry leaders in biblically-based fundraising and nonprofit leadership to achieve sustainable growth for Kingdom advancement. We serve Christian nonprofits of all sizes but our specialty is helping those with budgets under $2M grow from the “seed” of an inspirational idea to a healthy, sustainable, fruit-bearing “tree,” deeply rooted in Christ and the community they serve.

The Area Director for Mission Increase – South Carolina delivers our complete program at no cost to Christian nonprofits, thanks to the generosity of local donors. We teach quarterly workshops and offer both 1-1 and group coaching to apply the principles directly to the ministry.

Our curriculum is divided into four core topics: Major Gifts, Donor Acquisition, Marketing/Communications and Ministry Leadership.

All of our teaching is tested and based on biblical principles. 

We teach Transformational Giving that grows the ministry leader and the donors.

A Local Advisory Board provides guidance, financial support and oversight.

We bless and encourage ministry leaders by providing our core services without charge.

Nightlight Christian Adoptions is a full-service, Hague accredited child placement agency, licensed in ten states, CA, CO, FL, GA, IN, KY, MO, OK, SC, and TX. Nightlight's adoption programs include comprehensive international, domestic, embryo, foster care, and home study services.

Our vision for the future is to expand our foster care program to all Nightlight offices with the hopes of securing permanency for children in foster care, whether through family reunification or licensing foster families open to adoption.

Shade Tree Ministries offers free of charge a place for pastors, missionaries and para-church organizational leaders to join their spouse in a few days retreat and respite. Various locations are available, but primarily at Shade Tree headquarters on Lake Keowee, Seneca, SC. Secondly, we host luncheons for pastors, staff retgreats, heads of organizations and multiple retreat formats for Christian leaders. Thirdly, our president, Mark, conducts weekly Bible Studies for unchurched men, speaks in church settings and conferences and offers counsel to Chrstian leaders around the world. Our services are personal and relational. Our goal is to serve those who serve, strengthening and reinforcing their areas of ministry.

Mission Statement or Ministry Purpose: The primary goal of TIBI is to train Hispanic men and women to make disciples of Jesus Christ, who make other disciples, who are then gathered into churches sharing that mission. These people are active in community development, character formation, family enrichment, conflict resolution, counseling, and social justice.

Brief Description of Your Organization's Activities: We give scholarships to certain well-qualified students who undergo a rigorous selection process, so that they can study full-time live by video conferencing to prepare themselves to serve in the local church. Our students take 42 courses in Bible text, languages, exegesis, and ministry skills, and receive a Bachelor of Biblical Studies. They also must invest at least 10 hours per week in the local church, supervised by a local church leader and our full-time field work supervisor, Carlos Camacho, who has 38 years of successful experience in church planting and nurturing.

At the end of our intensive two-year program, our students have had 1600 hours of class instruction with academically qualified professors who between them also have hundreds of years of ministry experience. They have invested at least 1000 hours in ministry in their local churches. And they have done all this from their homes and home churches, without having to leave their families and congregations to receive training. The ability to train them literally in their homes has been a crucial advantage during the coronavirus period, because they have not lost one hour of training due to quarantines or shelter in place, though most of their countries were totally shut down.

In addition to our full time scholarship students who work by video conferencing, we offer the same courses online in video format, 24/7, and also on hard drives for those who don't have access to internet. In all, we currently have about 3800 students in 76 countries.

Water is essential to human life.  It is the center of economic and social development and vital to maintain health, grow food, generate energy, manage the environment, and create jobs. Clean drinking water and sanitation are essential to the realization of all human rights. When people do not have access to safe drinking water and adequate sanitation, the impact on the population is devastating, leading to a global crisis. According to the World Economic Forum’s 2015 global risk report, the Global Water Crisis is now the number one global risk based on its impact on society.

Currently, 2.2 billion people around the world lack access to safe water. That’s one-third of the world’s population.  According to a recent report by the World Health Organization (WHO) and United Nations Children Fund (UNICEF), more than 263 million people spent over 30 minutes round trip collecting water from an unimproved source. An estimated 4.2 billion people live without adequate sanitation, and one person dies every 37 seconds from water-related illnesses.  Children are the most affected: an estimated 760,000 children under the age of five die each year from diarrheal diseases globally. Women and children spend hours walking an average of 3 miles each day collecting water that is contaminated and will likely make their families sick. The global water crisis is real and it is urgent.

Water Mission is a Christian engineering nonprofit that designs, builds, and implements safe water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) solutions for people in developing countries and disaster areas. Since 2001, Water Mission has used innovative technology and engineering expertise to provide access to safe water for more than 7 million people in 57 countries. Water Mission has over 400 staff members working around the world in permanent country programs located in Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Caribbean.  Notably, Charity Navigator has awarded Water Mission its top four-star rating for 15 consecutive years, a distinction shared by only 1% of charities rated by the organization. 

Water Mission was founded in 2001 by George and Molly Greene, who at the time owned an environmental engineering and analytical firm. They decided to apply the same engineering discipline toward a non-profit endeavor focused on providing safe water and sanitation solutions for people in developing countries and disaster situations. 

Water Mission was born out of the need for safe water as a result of a disaster, responding in Honduras after Hurricane Mitch. Since then, we have provided relief following some of the world’s most devastating natural and humanitarian disasters, including most recently: Texas Arctic Storms; Earthquakes in Indonesia; Hurricanes Eta and Iota in Honduras; Hurricane Dorian in the Bahamas; Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico; Rohingya Refugees in Bangladesh; Cyclone Idai in Malawi and Mozambique; Earthquake and Tsunami in Indonesia; Refugees in Uganda and Tanzania; and many, many more.
